BEHIND THE LENS...

... is me!

Travelling and photography are definitively my biggest passion in life. After sleeping.

I also have a crazy and cliché dream called World Peace.

Nope, I didn't major in Politics. Nor Economics. Nor Humanity. Nor Medicine. Nor even Arts nor Photography. It's entirely self-taught. Still amateur. (Chill, I have a Bachelor degree, I'm still educated).

How is THAT related then?

Life sucks. Everything sucks. Your neighbour sucks. So does your boss. It's a curse to live.

Or that's what I've heard from many including myself. From time to time. A LOT of times.

And it was then, during those moments of crisis (plus a sudden empty fridge) that I picked up my camera, dashed out of the door, ran aimlessly and shot everything within my sight. And smile.

Being behind the lens have taught me to stop taking things for granted, stop rushing in the current of life and start appreciating that wild flower on that side of the street.

ABOUT ME

Life is, indeed, very beautiful.

Beauty doesn't lie in expensive goods nor gigantic structures nor those must-visit-before-you-die places.

"Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder." And I believe that only with an open heart can one's eyes realise that beauty.

That is why in this petite gallerie of mine, there's no description nor even location of these photos. A few names were mentioned and a few spots are well-known. Nonetheless, my purpose is not to boast about my extensive travel. I already did that on Facebook. Thank you Mark!

Yet, a humble wish I do have:

When you feel like life's let you down, just take a look around you. Try to notice something different, something that's always been there but never got your attention.

The quiet grin of your daily bus driver. A passerby. The tree at the end of your neighbourhood. Even that little lovely convenient store lying unnoticed on your way to gym.

They're tiny proofs that life is gentle and only challenging you for the sake of making your forthcoming rewards much more worthy.

Appreciate them. Feel the love. Feel the peace.

It's easier said than done. Which is why I hope that my gallery of trivial yet blissful moments of life will serve as an inspiration. For you and also for me.

World Peace is when the hearts of everyone living within it are at peace.
